While anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress, anxiety disorders and phobias cause constant and overwhelming feelings of fear that interfere with day-to-day functioning. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify negative thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with more realistic and positive thoughts.

Increasingly more prevalent is anxiety among children and adolescents, which can be caused by a range of factors, including social media and academic pressure.

Anxious children and adolescents can experience
improvements in daily functioning from psychotherapy, and we incorporate CBT, parental involvement, and school support to encourage healthy coping mechanisms and build resilience.

As parents, there are endless sources of advice, making it difficult to know what to trust. At the Center, our parent support aims to help you boost your child’s happiness and emotional well-being, which in turn enhances the harmony of your entire family.

Relationships are a core tenet of a rewarding life. However, they are often a source of overwhelming stress, anxiety, and conflict. Our licensed couples counselors guide you and your partner through a safe, supportive therapy environment, helping you build a better understanding and foster mutual growth.

Like anxiety, every human experiences occasional feelings of sadness. However, depression feels like a weight that follows you everywhere, taking away your ability to enjoy life. We employ therapies such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) to combat this illness.

When anxiety kicks in for high-achieving women, it might not meet the full criteria for an anxiety disorder diagnosis, but that doesn’t mean it’s harmless. Some of the ways it can manifest are:

  • Perfectionism
  • Overthinking
  • Fear of failure

We can help you set boundaries, prioritize self-care, reframe thoughts, and much more.
