Our Services

Welcome to the Center for Psychological Health & Wellness! We walk alongside you, helping you (adults and parents )navigate your or your child’s diagnosis, explore treatment options, and learn healthy habits to manage the condition for long-term happiness.

We offer a variety of mental health services in the Reading, PA, area and beyond, understanding that these health conditions don’t discriminate based on demographics and affect all ages and walks of life.

One of our core specialties is supporting anxious and worried kids, and we’re committed to a holistic approach that involves the entire family in the treatment process. We also offer therapy for couples and partners. In addition, we work with families involved in custody matters, reunification/reconciliation, cooperative parenting training and support with evaluating and treating parent alienation.

Anxiety & Phobias

While anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress, anxiety disorders and phobias cause constant and overwhelming feelings of fear that interfere with day-to-day functioning. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify negative thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with more realistic and positive thoughts.

Anxiety in Children & Teens

Increasingly more prevalent is anxiety among children and adolescents, which can be caused by a range of factors, including social media and academic pressure.

Anxious children and adolescents can experience
improvements in daily functioning from psychotherapy, and we incorporate CBT, parental involvement, and school support to encourage healthy coping mechanisms and build resilience.

College Student Phobias

Under the best of circumstances, college is an unbelievably stressful time with a myriad of changes happening at once, such as social, emotional, and academic. Our counselors get it and help with many reasons for tension, including:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Identity
  • Career uncertainty

Depression Services

Like anxiety, every human experiences occasional feelings of sadness. However, depressionfeels like a weight that follows you everywhere, taking away your ability to enjoy life. We employ therapies such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) to combat this illness.

High-Achieving Women

When anxiety kicks in for high-achieving women, it might not meet the full criteria for an anxiety disorder diagnosis, but that doesn’t mean it’s harmless. Some of the ways it can manifest are:

  • Perfectionism
  • Overthinking
  • Fear of failure

We can help you set boundaries, prioritize self-care, reframe thoughts, and much more.
